What pond fish like in a aquarium?

Post by Caroline on Wed 19 Jan 2011, 03:13

    Hi there,
I was able to catch 4 little fish from a pond yesterday and I put them in my aquarium that has no fish in it. What kind of stuff would they like in there? And do they need an filter? And what are these? They are kind of long, silver, and have a black line going across their body. They also got some red and yellow on their fins. They are about 4 inches long.

Well I would like to suggest, try to make the aquarium almost exactly like their natural habitat. For example if there are weeds, rocks etc. then better put that in…. You can get an idea from someone at a local aquarium who can tell you if u should have a filter or not. Hope this might helps a lot.
