    First uromastyx

    Post by crashlord333 on Tue 11 Aug 2009, 18:57

I'm so excited because I am getting my first uromastyx pretty soon. I've had mainly african fat tails and leopard geckos and other reptiles that don't require as much or any uvb as uros. So I was thinking about the uvb to get for him. He should be arriving home pretty soon. I have everything set up except the lighting. I am contemplating between mvbs but the expense and rumor of blowouts and malfunctions has wooed me away. I am used to using zilla lights for my crested, cham and other reptiles. So if I get regular uvb I'm probably going to get the zilla desert bulbs. I've used the tropicals so far. My friend has the deserts for her beardies and says they're great bulbs for beardies. What do you guys have for uros? Or what is most common?

My brothers best friend has a uromastyx. It is the coolest thing ever, so let me congratulate you. I've read up a lot on them and know they require hot temps and lots of uvb but I think as long as you get high output uvb like the Zilla's you'll be fine. Those bulbs are good I have them for my two bearded dragons.

hey,can you snap some pics too post??
