The Caecilian [wiki]

The Caecilian [wiki] is an amphibian that superficially resemble earthworms or snakes. But because it mostly lives hidden in the ground, it has become the least explored order of amphibians, and widely unknown. Not until recent, scientists discovered that it has a bizarre parental behaviour--the caecilian mother allows her young to peel off and eat her skin. It has been filmed on camera by building a set which resembled the creature's living environment for the broadcasting ...

Hey yall. I don't know if my amphibians have to be aggressive and crazy, but my tree frog is a lardass. She eats an immense amount of food! My frog tank is actually better than my piranha tank, FOR NOW. I have 2 firebelly toads, a tigerlegged tree frog, and a grey treefrog. I think the firebelly male has been having relations with my tree frog lately. Is that even possible?! :elephant:

Hey yall! Sorry I've been MIA for a bit. We just got a bullfrog tadpole and it's in our 40 gallon amphibian tank untill it gets big enough to eat the others. I'm just feeding it algea discs for now, and theres about 10 gallons of water in the tank. He seems pretty active for now. Anything else I should be feeding it while it's a baby? How practical is it to keep the frog when it is an adult, since it will be big?

Cave salamander (Proteus anguinus)

The cave salamander is a rare amphibian with an unusual appearance, shaped by several million years of living in dark, subterranean caves in central Europe (2). Its skin lacks pigment, giving its body a white, pasty appearance. It also has a pink hue due to blood capillaries near the skin, and as its translucency shows the contours of the internal organs. This strange fleshy skin led to this species' ...
